Pete is 6/7 yrs old, cream Lhasa Apso, owner surrender who was in terrible shape, emaciated, infections in both eyes & ears, eaten up with mange, most of his hair gone, sores on his body.He seems to have lived most of his life in a small kennel & he is quite afraid of them. He does have some issues with his hind legs, but not enough to keep him from going on walks. He seldom if ever barks. Pete needs some work with potty trning 101, especially on rainy days. He will use the washable pads. Pete enjoys going for car/golf cart rides & short walks, playing with squeaky toys & chewing on a bone.He is very good with baths & enjoys his time at the groomer. Pete would be suitable for an adult only home, where he could be the only dog or with one other female dog. He does & will continue to need daily eye drops for both eyes. In the right home, Pete will be a very loyal companion. Pete weighs approx. 20 lbs., is neutered, current on all vaccinations, heartworm negative, has canine flu vaccination. She does real good in a crate at night. She loves to play and be silly but real gentle     HARDY - Retriever Mix He is a neutered male and what a gentleman. He to never barks. He is a couch potato all he does is lay on his bed and he is great with other dogs, he shared a kennel with one of my Bullmastiffs and they are buddies.....     COOKIE - Collie / Chow Mix COOKIE is about 7 years old,neut. male Collie-Chow- X. He had Kennel Cough, was HW +POS but just went through treatment. He also has a large, uncomfortable growth dangling from his belly, that swings and flaps as he walks, which must be adding to the discomfort. He was rescued 10/16/08, from CCAC before being euthanized. Now that he's over kennel cough and has had HW treatment, and surgery to remove the tumor, Cookie desperately needs an indoor foster home to care for him while he's getting better. After all he's been through, he deserves a second chance at life and a loving home.     TROUPER - Bluetick / Beagle Mix TROUPER:  Bluetick Beagle - Neutered Male- Approx:10-12 months old. Trouper came by his name,as he was struck by a car on August 28, 2008. He was brought to the Animal Control in Newnan, where he was put in Isolation for 13 days,without being seen by a vet. One of our volunteers discovered him there, and rushed him to the Vet, where they diagnosed him with a severely broken rear leg, fractured pelvis and back. The grim choices given by this vet were a costly surgery, or euthanasia. Luckily, our volunteer took Trouper for a second opinion, and this vet did his surgery for more reasonable cost than the original vet fee.  He said, with 4-6 weeks of crate rest and TLC, Trouper will be as good as new!! Trouper still has a lot of PUPPY left in him! He is extremely loving and playful. All he wants to do is please you. This little guy does not discriminate, he loves adults, children,other dogs, and even CATS! Trouper is looking for a home indoors, where he will be part of the family. He has had his share of isolation and cold steel bars. He just sits and waits for me to come in and he waits for me to pick him up cause he doesn't walk well on a leash, or just scared. When you hold him he is so soft and  just snuggles up. He would be a great lap dog.     MAX - Shepherd Mix MAX is a 3 yr. old Retriever/Shepherd mix and weighs about 50 lbs. This fella is very sweet and loving. He is great with other animals and children. He is neutered, vetted, and is going under HW treatment. He is house and crate trained. What a doll!     SONNY - Shepherd / Hound Mix SONNY is a 2yr Shepherd / Hound mix.  This girl is very sweet and great with children and other animals.   She does need a little more leash work but is doing great. She is a little shy but warms up quickly to people.  She is crate trained. She is heartworm - , vetted,  and spayed.   What more could you ask for?     SUZIE Q - Lab / Shepherd Mix SUZIE Q is a 2yr old Lab / Shepherd mix and weighs about 45-50lbs.  This girl is very sweet and great with other animals and children. She is laid back very quiet and loves to be with people. She is spayed, vetted, heartworm-.  Look how beautiful she is!     BRANDY - Lab Mix Brandy 2-3yr Lab mix.  She has gained some weight since this picture was taken.  She was very timid at first but has come around a lot.  She takes a couple days to warm up to trust people and she is great with other dogs and children. She is vetted, heartworm - , spayed, and also crate trained and almost house broken but does great.  She would make a great family dog.     KALIB - Border Collie Mix KALIB is a 1-2yr Border Collie mix  This guy is very sweet and full of energy. He is great with children, and other dogs (but he is a dominate fella).   He has done great since we got him neutered but would probably do better as an only male dog. He is vetted, heartworm-, and neutered.  He walks fine on a leash and is crate trained.     OJ - Lab Mix OJ is a Lab mix about  3yrs old, 50lbs.  This boy is very sweet and outgoing.  He is great with other dogs and children. He is crate trained.  He is vetted, heartworm- and neutered.. He does have a little energy so an active family would be perfect for him.     BASTIAN - Lab Mix Bastian is a Lab mix about 3-4yrs and weighs 45-50lbs  This guy is very sweet and laid back.   He likes to give hugs and kisses. He is housebroken and crate trained. He is great with other dogs and children. We're not sure about cats. He is vetted, heartworm-  and neutered.     MYSTIC - Afghan Hound MYSTIC is a 5 year old Pure Bred Afghan Hound.  She is an easy going, elegant girl.  She enjoys her walks and playing with other dogs.  She is spayed and current on vaccinations.   For more info on this breed, please click here:  http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Afghan_hound     SWEET PEA SWEET PEA is about a year old.  He was pulled from Heard County Animal Control.  He was surrendered by his owners because their children couldn't walk him.  People should really consider the size and breed when getting a pet.  This poor baby almost lost his life in a shelter because of a family's irresponsible choice.  Sweet Pea is very sweet and look how beautiful he is.  He is strong so he will need to go to a family that can handle him.   He needs walks daily to burn some of his energy.  You will love this dog     TEDY - Pit Bull Mix TEDY was found in one of our volunteer's neighborhood.  What a gentleman.  He enjoyed a bath and is living it up right now at his foster mom's house.  He's about 2 years old and will need to be neutered before he is adopted.  His foster mom said he is a very sweet boy.  He's certainly a keeper.     DANCER - Shepherd Mix DANCER was born in January 2009.  She is very loving and easy to please.   Dancer says belly rubs are required if you adopt her!     DANDY - Shepherd Mix DANDY is a beautiful Shepherd Mix around 4 months old.  He's a playful, adorable pup waiting for his forever home.  Don't pass this little guy up.     FUJI - Shepherd Mix FUJI is a beautiful Shepherd Mix around 4 months old.  Look at those adorable little ears and white paws.  He is waiting for you so don't let him miss out on a loving forever home.
