"Train up a child in the way he should go, and when he is old he will not depart from it." Proverbs 22:6
Today's youth are tomorrow's leaders. If we want leaders who will lead with compassion, knowledge, and understanding, it is our responsibility to provide our youth with the tools necessary to develop these attributes. Properly trained children don't just happen - they are taught , molded, and loved into what we desire them to become.

YOU can help The Good Shepherd Humane Society reach our children. We are collecting funding to launch a 2007-2008 school year program in Fayette and Coweta Counties called Kind Kid News. Our goal is to fund every child in every classroom with the montly newsletter created by NAHEE - The National Association of Humane and Enviornmental Education.

Through the Adopt-A-Classroom Program, you can provide a classroom with Kind (Kids In Defense of Nature) News, an award winning classrom newspaper in grades K-6. It features articles, activities, puzzles, and celebrity interviews to help teach children the importance of treating people, animals, and the enviornment with kindness and respect. Its emphasis on humane values such as fairness, compassion, and responsibility seeks to encourage good character in children.
